All eyes turn to Ottery on Saturday, October 19, as entries from across the area arrive for an evening of bright lights and spectacle.

The Ottery St Mary Carnival and Tar Barrel committee has released a map of the road closures on the day.

Diversions will be in place across the town with road closures enforced between 7pm and 10pm.

Road affected include routes leading to the town centre from Strawberry Lane, Slade Road and Furzebrook Junction.

The Exeter Road leading to Finnimore industrial estate, from the King's School cross, will be closed at 3pm and reopens at 8pm.
