BREAKING NEWS: Sam Cummins, 22, who was critically injured in a fall from a third-floor window at a hostel in Rome two weeks ago, has been flown back to the UK today (Wednesday) to continue his recovery at a hospital near his Sidmouth home.
Speaking from Exeter’s Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Wonford, shortly after his admittance, Sam’s mum Fiona, described her rugby playing son’s progress as “amazing”, adding: “He wants to know when his mates are going in to see him.”
Mrs Cummins said she had been inundated with messages of support from well-wishers and friends from Sidmouth.
