WITH a bad summer spoiling its FolkWeek sausage sizzle fundraiser, the Friends of Rose Lawn care home, All Saints Road, Sidmouth, will hold a coffee morning and table top sale there on Thursday, November 20 from 10am to noon.
Friend Brian Randall said: "We recently raised £7,000 for a specialist bath for residents and head office gave £7,000 to buy another.
"Currently we are looking to buy awnings for the back to shelter residents from the sun while they look across the rugby field."
He said with the cancellation of the sausage sizzle, "our biggest fundraiser", the Friends were trying to make up the money.
They need to find £500 to fund this year's nativity and Christmas tree at the home, which will go up at the start of December.
