A STREET collection to help those affected by the recent flooding in Ottery St Mary and surrounding areas will be held in Sidmouth on Friday and Saturday.
The collection has been organised by Sid Valley Rotary Club and some of the money raised will go to Rotary's ShelterBox charity, which is currently stretched to its limits, with four teams simultaneously responding to disasters around the world.
The lifesaving boxes have been sent to victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, conflict in the Congo, AIDs orphans in Swaziland and floods of Honduras.
Now it is urgently seeking funds to enable it to provide further aid for those affected.
