The Rotary Club of Sidmouth are on the hunt for local wordsmiths to enter its poetry competition, which is open to all ages.
The charity launched the competition, which is open to all ages but split into two sections - under 16s and adults, with prizes to be won for each section.
Speaking on behalf of the Rotary Club, Gemma Shepherd said: “The winners will each receive £25 and the two best runners up £12.50. Prizes have kindly been donated by one of our Rotarians.
“We’re asking entrants to compose a poem of no more than 16 lines on ‘life during and after the pandemic’.
“Lyn Darrant has kindly agreed to be our judge and the deadline is March 6. Entries are to be sent to Maurice Hulks either by email: mfhulks@gmail.com or post to 14 Regency Gate, Sidmouth, EX10 9NQ.”
