The Royal British Legion is to host a coffee morning in Sidmouth. Read this and more.
POLICE SEARCH: Police in Sidmouth carried out a search of the town after officers in Exeter expressed concern for a “seriously ill” man.
The man, who officers said resided in Sidmouth, was reported missing from the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital on Tuesday.
Sergeant Andy Turner said “excellent” work by Police Constable Special Officer Jay Bowden saw the man located in All Saints Road. He was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
LEGION BOOSTER: A coffee morning and table top sale at St John Hall in Blackmore Drive on Saturday, May 19, will boost the Sidmouth branch of the Royal British Legion.
The event will take place from 9am.
CARE MOVE: A leading care provider has been successful in its application to be part of Devon County Council’s homecare framework.
Sanctuary Home Care has been appointed to be a local provider of care and support people in their own homes.

JUBILEE: West Hill has announced two events to help celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in the village. On Sunday, June 3, there will be a Grand Diamond Jubilee Quiz at the Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7 per person, there is a licensed bar, and the questions will centre on the six decades of the Queen’s reign. The following day there will be a street party for the whole of West Hill at the Royal British legion Hall, starting at noon. Residents are encouraged to bring a picnic, with a fancy dress competition on a Kings and Queens theme, and there will be lots of events taking place. PLANT SALE: St Edward’s Church in Wiggaton is holding a Plant Sale and Coffee Morning on Saturday, May 12 at Orchard Green in the village. The sale is to help raise money for the church.
