Artists from across the country came to Sidmouth to learn from an internationally-renowned professional.
The East Devon Art Academy invited Roger Dellar, a member of both the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, to lead a two-day workshop in planar painting.
He is the latest in a string of acclaimed artists to visit the Old Fore Street venue and more are planned in the coming months.
Academy director Cathy Osbond said: “Roger was brilliant. He did a full demo of a painting on each of the days and then helped individuals with their own work. We learnt such a lot.
“These workshops have attracted a lot of attention and are really growing. It is great for the town and provides an invaluable asset for locals.”
