Dressed in colourful tutus, wigs and flower garlands, a group from JM Dancefit Zumba and Fitsteps classes from the Sidmouth area took part in the Rainbow Run in aid of the Children’s Hospice South West.

The team, whose ages ranged from five years old to 91, walked, shimmied and wiggled their way around the five-mile course at Westpoint in Exeter, and raised an impressive £3,700 for the charity.

JM Dancefit founder Johanna Morgan said: “I am incredibly proud of our team and their amazing fundraising efforts. The team is absolutely ecstatic with the amount they have managed to raise, to help make the most of short and precious lives across the South West. We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who supported and sponsored us”.

A total of 1,200 people took part in the Rainbow Run on June 9, and the event is set to raise £50,000 for the charity.
