WORK on repairing damaged footpaths in Sidmouth's Fore Street will take place between Monday, November 17 and Friday, November 21.
There have been a number of accidents caused by people tripping up on the cracked paving slabs in recent months, report shopkeepers there.
The work by South West Highways will mean closing Fore Street.
Other roads to be closed in Sidmouth shortly include Fore Street from its junction with The Esplanade to New Street from Wednesday, November 12 to Sunday, November 16 to enable utility works on behalf of South West Water, Balfours from November 21-25 for SWW and Greenhead, Sidbury from November 20 to December 3, at its junction with Fore Street and Ottery Lanee, for highways works.
