BEER Sailing Club is hosting an art auction on Saturday, August 14.
The auction, at the club in Common Lane, is the second art-based fundraising event organised to raise funds for the new club house. An anonymous art exhibition in June raised �2,239 and the club hopes to raise a further �2,000 tomorrow.
The eight paintings and prints available have been donated by Andrew Coates, Eddie Burrows, Ray Balkwill, Bob Bradshaw and Julia King-Keast. Starting at 7.30pm, the sale will be managed by auctioneer Martin Diplock and all works will be available to take away there and then. To view the pieces visit www.beersailingclub.co.uk.
