Original Father Christmas celebrated in ‘All Age’ service at Salcombe Regis Church

A special ‘All Age Service ’ takes place at 4 pm at Salcombe Regis Parish Church on Sunday, in celebration of St Nicholas, the original Father Christmas.

Invitations have gone out to the parents of children baptised in the church in the last three years and also to l Cubs, Beaver scouts and other youth groups.

“This is our outreach to young people as a prelude to Christmas,” says churchwarden Annette Newman. “

“It is the first time we have held such a service and, with the support of parishioners, we look forward to welcoming grandparents and grandchildren as well.”

Refreshments will be served after the service which will be conducted by the vicar, the Reverend Roger Trumper and Kate Hamilton, the Children’s and Youth Pastor for the Sid Valley Mission Community.
