Beautiful photographs from around the town
Swapping Sweden for Sidmouth gave this youngster a spring in her step last week.
Mark Rose took this photo of daughter Amelia, 12, while visiting the town and marvelling at the daffodils on Peak Hill.
Mark his family were visiting his mum and sister, Ruth Murphy, who both live in Sidmouth. “We all moved down to Sidmouth from London back in 1974,” said Mark. “I moved back to London in ‘82 to study/work and eventually to Sweden in 2007 with my Swedish partner and then three-year-old Amelia. Whenever we discuss a holiday, Amelia has one word. Sidmouth!”
Sidmouth Herald chief photographer Simon Horn has also been out and about and captured some stunning images of a Connaught Gardens susnet and some great views of Jacob’s Ladder.
