OTTERY’S Yonder Close Housing Scheme manager has moved on after nearly 11 years.

A party was held at Yonder Close Community Centre for Carole Littlejohns, as a thank you for all the hard work she had put in over the years.

Richard Cunningham-Woods, Yonder Close Social Club chairman, said: “We normally have a coffee morning, but we made it into something more.”

Carole is the last manager to be based on site, residents will now rely on mobile support officers. Among her leaving gifts was £250 raised through a residents’ collection.

Richard said: “Carole did a tremendous amount for us, she would check on everyone every day. If there were ever any problems or trouble, she would sort it. We were lucky to have her, and she will be a great loss.”
