Sidmouth College students gave a boost to a cancer cause with a charity coffee morning last Friday.
Each year the Sixth Form collectively choose a charity to support, and this year Macmillan is the lucky beneficiary.
Their first event was the nationwide coffee morning, which pulled in more than 300 as the Sixth Form prepared coffee and homemade cakes for staff and students.
Head girl Katherine Perchard-Richards and head boy Theo Boalch said: “We collectively chose Macmillan because a number of staff and students have been directly affected by cancer, including our previous principal, Mr Roberts, who sadly lost his wife to the disease earlier this year.”
They added: “We are looking forward to planning and organising more Macmillan fundraising activities in the near future.”
