Schumann imitates Bach at Sidholme Music Room

A classical music recital on Sunday (October 30) could be a first for Sidmouth and Devon.

‘Bachiana’, on organ, pianoforte, violincello, will see Anne-Isabel Meyer and Peter Lea-Cox welcomed to the Sidholme Music Room on Sunday, October 30, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Both performers have travelled the world. The Schumann pieces, which were written in 1855 to sound like JS Bach, are to be played on the Music Room organ, which was built in 1855 and has been restored.

Entry is free. A collection will be held in aid of the venue’s Restoration Fund
