SCOUTS, Cubs and Beavers from across East Devon gathered in Sidmouth for their annual St George's Day parade.About 350 youngsters congregated at the Manor Road car park last Sunday before parading along the seafront and up to Sidmouth Parish Church for a special service.Brian Manwaring, Sidmouth group scout leader, said: "It was the St George's Day parade when we all renew our promises in church. It all went very well indeed. We just got caught in a shower on the way out of the church. Everyone seemed to enjoy the service."The location of the annual parade rotates between Honiton, Axminster, Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary, so each town plays host every four years. Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from Ottery, Tipton St John, Beer and Axminster took part in the event.
