Sidbury Choir netted £200 for Sidmouth Lifeboat when they returned to the crew’s Esplanade HQ for their annual sea shanty extravaganza.
Conducted by the charismatic Lynden Webb, the suitably nautically-dressed choir sang a range of well-known, sea-related tunes which included a selection of hornpipes played on a piccolo by the very talented Ashlynn Lee.
Part of the preparation for the evening included having to move the lifeboat tractor and rig out into the road to accommodate the 100-strong audience.
A charity spokesman said: “The trustees would like to give a special thanks to Lynden and her choir for making it such a fun and successful evening and very much look forward to their return next year.”
