A YOUTH action spin-off group of Sustainable Sidmouth is holding its second beach clean-up this weekend.

This event, organised by Youth-futures, will include rock pool investigation aimed at youngsters as well as wild food foraging from the sea shore and rock pools for the adults as well.

The group's motto is 'Family experiences in our local environment' and its members hope it will encourage families to spend quality time together without it 'costing the earth'.

People who want to take part in the clean-up are asked to meet at the Ham on Sunday at 1.30pm and bring along identification books, buckets and nets as well as gloves if possible. Gloves, litter-pickers and bags are being supplied by Streetscene again.

The aim of the event is to provide families an opportunity to participate together, raise awareness of the local natural environment and to pool ideas for future activities.

The clean-up will be held from 1.30pm-5.30pm. All are welcome but young children should be accompanied by adults.
