Perhaps the most famous shed in Sidmouth took a turn but a sweepstake pot stays safe for now.

The Swan Inn has been running a sweepstake on when a shed that is precariously close to the cliff edge will finally fall onto the beach below.

The pub started the competition in April with guessers paying one pound for a go. The sweepstake proved popular with the organisers eventually having to put a £100 cap on the winnings. The rest will be donated to charity.

Storm Callum tried to play its part but surprisingly, and annoyingly to those with that date in the sweepstake, the shed fell backwards towards the land and now sits sloped onto its side wall. The rules state it has to crash onto the beach for their to be a winner meaning the money remains unclaimed.

Manager Adrian Ricketts even said the owners of the shed were aware of the sweepstake and may pop in for a go with the calendar now being updated to 2019 by popular demand.
