WAITROSE staff and shoppers have been thanked by the 1st St Vale Scout Group for supporting an annual shoeshine event last week.
Donations and encouragement boosted youngsters as they cleaned shoes and collected cash.
“The local support for the scout group and the young people involved is very much appreciated,” said group chairman Gareth Hughes.
The group is always on the lookout for volunteers.
