Sidford WI members and guests set to get stitching, knitting and crocheting for memorial to be displayed at Devon County Show
Sid Valley crafters will be contributing to a Devon-wide 11,000 poppy project in tribute to those who lost their lives in World War One.
Work will begin as part of an afternoon hosted by Sidford Women’s Institute on Saturday, February 18, and the finished memorial will go on display at the county show in May.
Anyone is welcome to attend the event in Sidford Social Hall, from 2pm to 4pm, where there will also be a range of activities, including Filmo bead making, cookery, watercolour painting and more. The cost is £2.50, to include tea and biscuits, and there may be a small charge for materials. Contact Rosemary to book a place on 01395 515965.
