SID Valley Memory Cafe celebrated its second birthday last week by welcoming guest entertainer James Pellow.
He is pictured here with the chairman, John Summerside, and Derek Eagles, the founder of the club which meets twice-monthly at Twyford House as a resource centre for dementia sufferers and their carers, writes Kingsley Squire.
“Our membership of more than 60 is proof of the need that exists for support here in Sidmouth and that, really, is what we want to get across to the community,” said Derek.
“It is a lovely club that could not succeed without the help of our team of dedicated volunteers. But more are always needed.”
