BOOKWORMS at Sidbury Primary School showed their appreciation of reading through creative activities last week for World Book Day.
Years Two, Three and Four chose their favourite book to re-design the cover of and Year Four pupils also wrote a blurb about their choice read last Thursday.
Reception classes drew pictures to illustrate their favourite story and the winners and runners up in each year were presented with a prize the following day.
Diane Gordon, headteacher, said: "It was a really good day. The children loved drawing as they don't have much opportunity to design and create something from their favourite books very often.
"They were all very imaginative and they produced high quality work which is hanging up in our hall.
