THE house and gardens of Sidbury Manor will be open to the public next month.

Organised by RAMM Development Trust, the event will help to raise funds for the development of Exeter's Royal Albert Memorial Museum.

The free Jacobean Renaissance style mansion was built in the 1870s for Sir Stephen Cave, a member of Disraeli's cabinet.

The tour starts at 2.30pm on Wednesday, June 9 and tickets (£20) are still available.

It will be followed by tea, homemade cakes and biscuits.

Tickets are available by post from Celia King at RAMM, Queen Street, Exeter EX4 3RX. Cheques should be made payable to RAMM Development Trust and a stamped addressed envelope enclosed.
