A ‘mammoth’ prize drawn, including everything from a smart TV to Exeter Chief shirts, can be won at Sidbury pub.

More than a thousand tickets have already been sold for annual Christmas draw held by the Red Lion Inn, in Fore Street.

More than 100 prizes are up for grabs as part of the draw which will take place on Saturday, December 15. Tickets cost £1 and the money raised will go into buying more prizes.

Landlady Bib Spiteri, who took over the pub with her husband Richard in 2016, said: “Through our annual Christmas prize draw we try to give something back to all of our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the year.”

Richard added: “We are aiming to sell 2,000 tickets and so far, we have passed the 1,300 mark. This year’s prizes also include a copy of Bib’s award-winning chef sister, Dipna Anan’s latest cookery book ‘Dip in Brilliant’, which includes a fabulous photograph of us, along with our two boys and Bib’s Mum. That surely has to be a prize worth trying to win.”
