AFRICAN animals invaded Sidbury Primary School on Wednesday.

Class Three pupils, aged seven to nine, made the African masks out of card and paper during a workshop led by Phil Clarke from Alphington Primary School, Exeter, with parent support.

The masks will be worn by the children when they perform an African dance to the rest of the school.

The class have been working around an African theme this term in preparation for taking part in the Jambo Tanzania concert to be staged at the Manor Pavilion in November, which will raise money for Judith Smith's Buturi Makongoroo water project.
