SIDMOUTH is having an airing at the Cannes Film Festival, thanks to a filmmaker from Glastonbury.
Phil Day flew out there this week with his film Day's Devon, a 180-minute film touring Devon.
Phil said: "It is quite a long film and it comes in 10 different chapters, each of which can be watched separately or as a continuous film.
"It has a complete chapter about Sidmouth, its history, and the folk festival."

He describes the film, which he intends to air on several occasions in Sidmouth after the Cannes showing, as a mix between documentary, historical and travel and says: "It has quite a few unique features. It is interactive; people can talk about it, and it will be an entertaining evening."
It took Phil, who has won awards with a film he made about Somerset, three years to make.
