Crews from Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary were called to rescue a trapped motorist, following reports of a van on its side in Combe Cross.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at 6.50pm last Thursday (December 1) after reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision
A Sidmouth fire station spokesman said: “The Sidmouth crew was first on scene and found a van on its side drivers trapped between the hedge and another vehicle.
“The driver was a bit shaken but otherwise ok. He was assisted out of the van and to ground with a short extention ladder. The vehicle was made safe and left with the police.”
