RATS are a major regional menace, say pest control chiefs keen to hear from Sidmouth and Ottery residents and businesses interested in providing the service to East Devon’s population.

East Devon District Council (EDDC) is putting its domestic pest control contract out to tender.

The council is asked to deal with more than 1,00 requests for treatment every year, which are paid for by residents at the point of delivery.

The closing date for tenders is September 10. For more information visit

or call the council’s environmental health technical officer on (01395) 571645.
