Masquerade’s sausage suppers and plays raise 2,600 for FORCE

SAUSAGE and mash suppers and two one-act plays, held by Masquerade, have raised 2,600 for FORCE cancer charity.

The drama company’s founders, Ken Davis (business manager) and Ray Pickworth, together with stage manager Paul Kinson and Pia Payne, who appeared in one of the two plays with Ray, are pictured with the cheque and Melvyn Hayes, chief fund raiser for FORCE.

The popular supper evenings were held at Tipton St John community hall and St Francis hall, Woolbrook.

Ken said: “Although audience figures at Tipton were lower than usual, due to dates clashing with Bonfire night celebrations, our supporters rallied round and record numbers boosted audience figures at Woolbrook.”

Meanwhile, Masquerade is considering ideas for future fundraising efforts to support FORCE.
