GLORIOUS weather greeted visitors to the Annual Open Air Charity Exhibition of paintings in Sidmouth last weekend.
Organised by Sidmouth Society of Artists, the display at Connaught Gardens on Saturday featured a range of paintings produced by 35 of its members.
John Evans, exhibition officer, said: "The exhibition was well attended by artists and visitors alike and the weather could not have been better - sunshine all the way!"
This year the event was in aid of Sidmouth Victoria Hospital Comforts Fund and society artists who participated in the exhibit donated the commission raised from the sale of paintings, prints and cards.
Mr Evans said the amount raised was "substantial" and the final amount will be counted after the society's fundraising coffee morning at the Westcliff Hotel on Tuesday, October 27 from 10am-11.30am.
