SIDMOUTH artist and printmaker Kay McDonagh is exhibiting her etchings and paintings of animals and seascapes in the town for the first time as part of the Devon Open Studios Art Trail.
Mrs McDonagh, of Lymebourne Avenue, has been painting for over twenty years and has exhibited in galleries throughout the Midlands and the Southwest. Many of her images have been purchased by an international card company.
She said: "In each piece I try to capture the essence of the animal's character and mood"
Her impressionistic seascapes are a more recent development inspired by long walks along the Jurassic coast with her staffie dog Ozzy
The exhibition (venue 154) is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm from Saturday September 13 to Sunday September 21.
