POLICE are seeking witnesses to an assault on a woman along Sidmouth s Esplanade.

POLICE are seeking witnesses to an assault on a woman along Sidmouth's Esplanade.

In the unprovoked attack between 2am and 2.30am on Saturday, August 9, by an unknown male, the woman was left visibly injured.

The man is described as white, of short, stocky build, aged 30-40, with a reddish face and wearing glasses.

He wore a light coloured T-shirt and jeans.

Officer in charge, PC Mark Latter, would like to hear from anyone who can help shed light on the crime.
