Police are appealing for witnesses after an alleged assault outside a Sidmouth church.
Officers say the incident is alleged to have taken place in an alleyway between the library car park in Blackmore Drive and the Methodist Church, in High Street, on Thursday, October 15, at around 11am. A force spokesman said that one man was taken to hospital with ‘minor facial injuries’.
Sidmouth’s neighbourhood police team is asking anyone who saw or heard the incident to contact them by calling 101 or emailing 101@devonand Cornwall.pnn.police.uk and quoting reference number CR/071798/15.
? A police spokesman said a 67-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail until November 5.
