After serving with the 2019 Squadron (Sidmouth) ATC for six years, a special presentation evening was organised to say farewell to Flying Officer Paul Lowe and Cadet Josh Stribling.
Former cadets who served under Paul, and members of the squadron's civilian committee, turned out for the evening, together with a representative of the Royal British Legion and Squadron Leader Marigold Ayres from Exeter wing of the ATC.
Paul has retired due to ongoing back problems, said Squadron chaplain, the Reverend Rik Peckham.
He said: "Flying Officer Lowe has been with the cadet force for just over six years and will be greatly missed.
"He has played a major part in the life of the ATC squadron in Sidmouth and is well regarded by many outside organisations which have benefited from the presence of the Air Cadets at functions they put on."
Cadet Stribling is leaving to go to university followed by admission into the officers' training establishment at Sandhurst.
