After braving the worst of Storm Callum, Sidmouth has been enjoying glorious sunshine since the turn of the week.

Schools could not have picked a better week to have their half term and holidaymakers visiting Sidmouth had a chance to explore the town and beach without the threat of rain.

A flurry of activities were unfortunately cancelled as the storm rain battered the coast but the weather has been kinder this week and half term activities have gone ahead without a hitch.

With the sun out, the area has enjoyed the highest recorded temperature in October for more than five years.

The cafes along the seafront have seen coffee lovers enjoying one of the last outside drinks breaks of the year, even if it did mean wearing an extra thick jumper.

The glorious weather is set to continue with the sun predicted to appear well into next week.
