This large barerel jellyfish caught the attention of passers-by when it washed up on Sidmouth beach yesterday (Sunday).

Photographer Ian Willliams, in town for a few days, took a snap of the creature,

He said: “I know there’s been many sightings of them around the coast this year, but I don’t think I’ve seen one quite this large.. certainly not in Sidmouth.

“It was attracting the attention of many passers-by.”
