Sidmouth marks the Queen’s 90th birthday
Sidmouth joined in with the rest of the country to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday by lighting the town’s beacon on the esplanade. Towns and citys up and down the country lit their beacons from 7.00pm to mark the monarch’s birthday on Thursday, 21st April. In typical Sidmouth style, the Sidmouth Mummers and Sidmouth Town Band were invited to provide some light entertaiment before the lighting of the beacon by the district council’s Charlie Plowden.
