A SIDMOUTH charity that provides donkey riding therapy for children with special needs and disabilities will benefit from a car boot sale tomorrow.

The Parents and Friends Association at The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust (EST) for Children and Donkeys hopes the event will raise much-needed funds. The sale will take place at The Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth, from 9am to noon. There will be a bouncy castle, refreshments available, and admission and parking is free for buyers.

EST Sidmouth centre manager Lauriel Harris said: “Our car boot sales are a fun and popular way for us to raise funds. Riding therapy is very beneficial to children with special needs and disabilities and we are only able to provide therapy sessions thanks to our supporters and fundraising events like this.”

EST Sidmouth has been providing donkey riding therapy sessions to children throughout Devon since 1978. Around 180 local children with special needs and disabilities visit the centre each week.
