Some 25 people celebrated the Queen's birthday with afternoon tea and music at a Sidmouth care home.

A national open day event was held at Hartford Care’s Malden House.

The afternoon featured Cameron Lemmer, who performed for residents, families and staff with a medley of hits from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

Alistair Watson from Sidmouth Museum then gave an informative and fascinating speech about the RAF 100 exhibition.

The day also raised £95 in donations towards the home’s chosen cause, The Care Workers Charity.

Sean Gavin, CEO of Hartford Care, said: “I am proud to have Hartford Care involved in Care Home Open Day because it allows us to extend a warm welcome to our communities.

“I think it is important for the care home to be a key element in the community and this day allows us to bring people together from local
areas and our care
homes.”
