Sidmouth causes get town council grants
SIDMOUTH Town Council has awarded a total of �8,590 to a dozen causes and organisations in the parish.
Sidmouth Town Band and a science festival were the biggest beneficiaries – bagging �2,000 and �1,500 respectively. A job club and carnival fun will also benefit.
Councillors discussed who should receive funding when they discussed grant applications during behind-closed-doors talks on Monday. Organisations set to receive money in 2012/13 will be:
