DISCUSSION over an application by a neighbour to cut back hanging branches on a Western Red Cedar tree belonging to Mr and Mrs A Letty of Long Acre, Sid Road, Sidmouth, was deferred by Sidmouth Town Council's planning committee last week to await an arboriculturist's report.
The neighbour was previously granted permission to lop a different cedar, to the consternation of its owners, who discovered they had no right to appeal against the decision.
