Sidmouth church harvest to have African flavour

Work of children’s home in Kenya to give African link for Sidmouth Parish Church’s harvest service

THERE will be an African flavour to this year’s harvest festival celebrations at Sidmouth Parish Church on Sunday, September 25, when the liturgy of the Kenyan Church is used for the service.

Rector, the Reverend Prebendary David James, has invited Brian and Jane Inwood to talk about their visit earlier this year to the Namrata Shah Children’s Home in the link diocese of Thika, north of Nairobi.

A special collection will be taken towards the work by the home in Kenya and Mr James hopes parishioners will invite friends along to hear the talk and join in Harvest Supper in All Saints’ Hall later that evening.
