Parishioners craft 1,000 hearts and give them away to the public
Parishioners of All Saints Church in Sidmouth performed ‘little acts of kindness’ for Valentine’s Day as they handed out crafted hearts to people.
Churchgoers shared the love as they gave away items made from fabric or salt dough - all with their own unique biblical message.
Around 1,000 hearts were made by people of all ages.
Children’s and youth minister at All Saints Church, Kirsty Hammond, said: “Valentine’s is very commercial and it can be lonely for a lot of people so this was a small act of kindness. People were sceptical at first as to why we are giving out these hearts, but when they realised, they just lit up.”
