Sidmouth club bowled over by coffee morning air ambulance total

An annual charity coffee morning held by Sidmouth Bowls Club raised £1,060 in just two hours.

All the money made will go to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust - one of the club’s chosen charities of the year.

A cheque was presented by members to volunteers from the charity at the clubhouse, in Coburg Terrace, on Monday.

Bowls club chairman Peter Mison said: “We’re delighted to have collected that amount and to present it to such a worthy cause.

“It is a cause close to our hearts, although we hope to never have to use it.”
