Green fingered Sidmouth College pupils picked up their shovels on Friday for their annual tree planting event.
They joined forces with the Rotary Club of Sidmouth and the town’s Arboretum to populate the school’s grounds with new saplings.
The school has taken part in the event for the past two years, helping to plant trees across Sidmouth.
Teacher Ben Williams said: “The idea is to improve the local environment and to teach pupils about caring for the local environment.
“We have planted almost 250 trees around school this year.”
