A PAIR of Sidmouth College students helped Devon bag 4th place in national orienteering championships.
Emily Keenan, 14, and Ellie Stone, 16, represented the county in the Yvette Baker Trophy Club Orienteering Championship Final in Lincolnshire earlier this month.
The competition is Britain’s premier junior inter-club competition for groups in England and Wales and is named after Britain’s first world champion.
Emily and Ellie were part of a 12-strong Devon team which also boasted students from The King’s School in Ottery.
Emily entered the 3.6km course, with a climb of 45 metres, and Ellie competed in the 4.2km course which featured a 55 metre climb.
