Sidmouth College students once again put in a tor-rific effort to complete this year’s Ten Tors event.
The school entered three teams into the challenge, which was held at the weekend, to walk either the 35-mile or 55-mile courses.
Each team had to navigate the 10 checkpoints across Dartmoor’s rough terrain and prove they could be self-sufficient by camping overnight and carrying all they needed for the two days.
The youngsters crossed the line on Sunday with the 35A team finishing at 11am, the 35B team at noon and the 55-mile team at 1.30pm.
The 55-mile team now boast three medals each after completing each of the Ten Tors’ three challenges in as many years.
Co-principal Martin Dudley was a lead member of staff helping students train for the event during the last eight months.
He said: “The students did brilliantly - we’re very proud.”
