NEARLY �65,000 will be splashed on giving the outside of 128 council houses in Sidmouth, Sidford and Sidbury a makeover this year.
East Devon District Council will fork out �64,605 on redecorating the exteriors of 97 of its properties in Sidbury and Sidford, as well as 31 properties in Sidmouth.
The cash has been stumped up as part of a �425,000 programme by the council that will see 820 houses, bungalows and flats and 233 garages get an external sprucing up.
