MEMBERS of Sidmouth's Cricket, Tennis, Croquet and Hockey Club hope a bank holiday coffee morning tomorow will boost a 45,000 bid to re-thatch the roof of its famous pavilion.
The event, on Monday in the club pavilion from 10am to 12noon, is being sponsored by the Friends of the Fortfield with highlights including bric-a-brac, a raffle and family ball games.
Members of the West Country's oldest cricket club at the Fortfield hope work can begin on re-thatching the roof early next year, and are optimistic of meeting their
sizeable cash target having earmarked ways of securing half of the money already.
